The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2012. This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications. Medications may be taken to the Coudersport State Police Barracks on September 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Oswayo Valley School District is hosting the Mobile Dentist at the Elementary School on Tuesday, October 2nd and at the Middle School on Wednesday, October 3rd. Permissions slips were sent home with elementary and middle school students. Please return them no later than this Thursday, September 20th.
If your child is in the high school and would like to take advantage of this program, please call the nurse’s office for a permission form. The Mobile Dentist is an easy way for your child to receive their dental screening, cleanings, and fluoride treatments! When applicable, x-rays, sealants, and restorative care are also offered.
Children with Medicaid are welcomed and encouraged to take advantage of this program. Every student who participates will receive a shiny smile and a new toothbrush!
